Italian Restaurant in Nottingham
Reno's has been at the same address since the late 60's. It started out as a cafe for the young Italians to meet for a chat about football, F1 & Sport in general. It soon became clear that the public of Nottingham wanted Italian food as at the time there was no provision for the average person to eat Italian. So slowly Reno's, as an eatery took off.
It has offered good quality food at reasonable prices through the years except for the last few years, when it was unfortunately closed. For the previous seven and a half years, Raff and Anna had been working in a restaurant in Chesterfield and gained further experience in both customer relations and the cooking. Having previously worked with "Reno" who opened the restaurant, Raff, together with his family have come to own "Reno's", and have the privilege of continuing the tradition.
It has now been re-opened, slightly smaller and with a modern look. What is still the same is it's quality. "Reno's" still serve rustic Italian food, but they have moved on. "It's about improving all the time" says the proud new owner, Raff.
As such, Reno's is now a 40 covers restaurant, with light airy decor depicting views of the Coliseum, Lake Como and adorned with Venetian masks, all of which, plus the enticing aroma of great Italian food, will immediately transport you into a little part of Italy.
"We happily cater for wheelchairs and as you might expect from an Italian restaurant, children are especially welcome. Our product is Rustic freshly prepared and locally sourced wholesome Italian food" adds his wife Anna. Anna has worked in Italy for 20 years in restaurants, and for 6 years in Patisserie which means all breads and dolce (deserts) are prepared in-house.
Raff & Anna look forward to seeing you at Reno's in the near future.
